Netflix Unveils Major Updates to Flagship Series at Star-Studded Tudum Event

Netflix reveals release dates, cast additions, and exclusive previews for Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Wednesday at its annual Tudum showcase.

Netflix showcased its streaming dominance over the weekend with a high-profile Tudum event in Inglewood, California, unveiling key updates to its marquee titles. Headlining announcements included Lady Gaga joining the cast of Wednesday, release dates for the final seasons of Squid Game and Stranger Things, and exclusive previews from upcoming programming.

The event gathered top-tier talent including Jenna Ortega, Lee Jung-jae, Oscar Isaac, Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck. Musical performances by Hanumankind and Lady Gaga bookended the show, with Gaga closing the event with a live medley and revealing her latest role as Nevermore Academy’s teacher Rosaline Rotwood in Wednesday.

Squid Game Season 3 Netflix confirmed that Squid Game’s third and final season will premiere globally on June 27. A new trailer teased the return of the high-stakes death game format that made the series a global sensation during the pandemic. Star Lee Jung-jae, the first Asian man to win an Emmy for best actor in a drama, returns for the franchise’s concluding chapter.

Stranger Things Final Episodes The final season of Stranger Things will be released in three phases during the 2024 holiday season. Four episodes debut November 26, followed by three on Christmas Day, with the series finale arriving December 31. A retrospective trailer revisits the show’s cultural impact and builds anticipation for a final showdown with antagonist Vecna, spotlighting central characters such as Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

Wednesday Season 2 Netflix also debuted the opening six minutes of Wednesday Season 2, highlighting a new storyline featuring a serial killer played by Haley Joel Osment. Ortega reprises her role as Wednesday Addams, with Thing once again lending a hand—literally. Part one of Season 2 will premiere August 6, with part two arriving September 3.

Named after Netflix’s iconic audio cue, the annual Tudum event continues to serve as the platform’s central showcase for upcoming global content and franchise expansions.
